Salam Aidilfitri

Assalamualaikum,


Fellow kins, best friends, great pals, colleagues, anonymous blog-walkers, I wish you Happy Eid Mubarak and I beg for your forgiveness, due to my misbehaving, my wrongdoings, every sinful acts that I've committed ever since I was born. Forgive me for my imperfections, and I'd be grateful to change the bitter side of me if you'd point it out kindly for me. 


Raya at kampung was a perfect getaway from the hustles and bustles of KL. Especially from the "commotion" at Jalan TAR where everybody was going for a shopping marathon. There are a few things that'll always stay in my mind about my grandparents' house:

• the grand entrance into my kampung
• the sights of palm plantations surrounding their house
• the cute smiles and chuckles of my grandparents
• the emphasized sounds made by the footsteps on the wooden floorboards.."dong...dong...donggg.."
• the smell of old and cozy pillows
• the sight of us sprawled on the mattresses in front of the tv because the rooms can't accommodate our large number :))
• the fact that my cousins and I will always see ice lollies in the freezer :DD
• playing firecrackers together with my cousins 
• three main options for breakfast: nasi minyak, nasi himpit kuah kacang, nasu kerabu, nasi dagang or laksam :DD
• the extreme heat in the afternoon 
• the extreme chill at night 
• Snow, the white cat who always appears in the kitchen when she's hungry
• my uncle's Ujang comics
• late night horror-movie-watching with my relatives during the Raya seasons

So many things that I'll always miss about my kampung. I'm glad that my parents weren't born in KL, or I'd probably not be able to experience all these.
But Aidilfitri during my childhood was a lot more unforgettable. Colecting duit raya was a must. And back then, I had so much fun with my cousins, even with the boys. Even running together in the same circles was considered jolly. But at this phase of life,we get silent around each other..hahaha
I bet your Aidilfitri was a bundle of joy, eh? :)) Can't wait to hear about it.
